St George’s Weybridge organises a number of privately run school coaches and mini-buses, on a non-profit making basis, for its students to travel to and from school.
We are keen to encourage parents to consider using our bus service for their children to help the environment and reduce local traffic congestion, whilst reducing parental stress and saving time and cost too.
The School continues to ensure that each of its extensive bus routes is run as efficiently as possible and according to customer demand and the following changes are the result of feedback received in our recent transport survey.
From September 2014, St George’s Weybridge will continue to offer school coach and mini-bus services during school term time with the NEW BENEFITS of:
If a bus route is oversubscribed, priority booking will be given to users booking five days a week.
Our school bus routes are as follows:
School bus routes from September 2014
Route 1 (1a and 1b) – CAMBERLEY via Windlesham and Chobham
Route 2 (amalgamated from routes 2a and 2b) - WOKING
Route 3 – GUILDFORD Station via East Horsley and Cobham
Route 4 – KINGSTON/CLAYGATE and Weybridge
Route 5 – ESHER via East Molesey and Hersham
Route 6 – TEDDINGTON via Hampton and Sunbury
Route 8 – OLD WINDSOR via Englefield Green, Egham and Chertsey
Route 9 – ASCOT via Sunningdale and Virginia Water
A recent review of bus routes has confirmed that from September 2014 we will need to adjust our school bus routes 2a and 2b (Woking, Horsell and Pyrford) into one amalgamated, new Route 2. The new route seeks to offer a similar bus service as before but with some different bus stops.
Also from September 2014, after careful consideration, we will be stopping our school mini-bus Route 7 to and from Ashford as this has proved underused.
It is very much hoped that these changes will suit the vast majority of users, whilst feedback about our school bus routes and the initiatives of ‘USE ANY BUS STOP’, ‘NEAR REAL TIME ONLINE TRACKING’ and our new ONLINE MAP, is very welcome. We are always happy to look into providing more bus routes - or adjusting them - if sufficient demand exists.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of the service, please send a brief outline of your query and your preferred phone number to our contact email address at email@example.com the appropriate person will call you back.
Further details about school bus routes, bus stops, times and prices are available in our bus route guide and online at www.stgeorgesweybridge.com (this also includes train routes details).
Please note that our school bus routes are reviewed annually and are subject to change. The routes referred to in this document are confirmed for 2014/15.
All stops on Route Six (Teddington, via Hampton and Sunbury) will depart 10 minutes earlier in the morning than stated in the Bus Routes document.
The School operates a morning and afternoon coach service from the following locations:
Camberley, Woking, Guildford, Kingston, Esher, Teddington, Ashford, Windsor and Ascot.
